There are a few podcasts moving to PodBean because when your podcast gets too popular, the person doing the podcast has to start paying for the bandwidth. Podbean has the users pay a fee for ‘premium’ content, and the person doing the podcast doesn’t have to pay anymore. Check out: The Scrap Gals
Fortnight
What is Fortnight? It is almost the same game as the second best selling game of all time: PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.

Mojave and IOS 12 are both in Beta Versions
But be careful installing! Beta mean experimental, this poor guy put it on his main machine and phone and everything went haywire!

Mojave Beta
I was wrong about the 32 bit ending with High Sierra. Both High Sierra and Mojave work with 32 bit apps, it’s just that not all programs work because of all the changes. If you want to try it you can sign up for the public beta program here. It is really stable, but it’s still beta software.
The first thing that I notice is the computer seems much faster. I have a 2012 Macbook Pro, which is the oldest Macbook that will run the beta, and everything seems snappier than before.
The biggest change is the dark color scheme which does look pretty cool, and they brought a few of the iPhone only applications to the Mac. Stocks, Voice Memos, News and Home?

Just like Mojave, it feels a lot faster than IOS 11. Every time Apple has had an update lately, it just seems it’s bloating and bogging down your not too old phone. My iPad is about 3 generations behind and it feels really snappy with IOS 12.
If you do Facetime with an iPhone or iPad that has IOS 12 you can do the “Brady Bunch thing” and have up to 32 people on the same chat. I am not sure how good that would work on a phone screen though. It’s probaly best with an iPad.
Also if you have an iPad and put 12 on it, your iPad will get the Stock Market app, and Apple has redesigned the Apple Books and News apps. Also you are supposed to get a lot better battery life. Apple Maps has been improved.
Things I have noticed is Apple has added the ‘inside’ of buildings for a lot of locations. If you go to a mall or other big venue and fire up Apple Maps, you will see the shops and where they are inside the mall.
Photo Search: It now has a smarter way to search your photos.
The desktop stacks is probably the other big feature.
If you have an iPhone X it will let you make an avatar that will mimic your facial expression, including sticking out your tongue. Now you can easily create a Memoji to match your personality and mood.
Time Warner and AT&T merged
I have no clue what this means long term except that we will have fewer choices for internet, and things will get bundled in ways that we never expected. Here is one article that has 2 cents.
Online Sales Tax
Also the Supreme Court made it so states can charge sales tax on online retailers even if there is no shop in that state. I expect Texas to pass a law soon to get sales tax from online sales the next time they meet. Thank goodness they meet every other year!

Apple May Be Ready to Unleash a Slew of New Macs
John Rankin advises holding off purchasing iMacs until around the end of this month (July). Most of the current year’s iMacs will go on sale right before the next version is released. This year is the iMac’s 20th Anniversary.
Or wait until the new model comes out.
